Adding Media: Upload or Capture Directly

You no longer have to create a post just to get photos and videos into a project.
You can still add media through a post, or you can now send photos and videos directly to the Media section, whichever fits the moment.

Multiple options for adding media:

  1. Through a post in the Activity Feed (great when you want to say something alongside the photos). See our β†’ Posting to the Activity Feed article.

  2. Directly to Media (great for quick progress photos with no commentary).

This guide covers adding media directly.

On the web

Step 1: Open your project and go to Media from the section dropdown.

Step 2: Click Upload media (top right).

Step 3: Choose the photos or videos from your device and confirm. They appear in the Media grid right away, no post required.

On mobile

β†’ Option A: Upload from your device

  • Step 1: In the project, tap the + in the bottom bar to open the action panel.

  • Step 2: Tap Upload media and pick the photos or videos from your device.

  • Or, you can also create a post in the Activity Feed to post files that way:

β†’ Option B: Capture with the camera or add a new post

  • Step 1: Tap the + button if you wish to create a Post, or the Camera button to quickly add media directly recorded from your camera.

  • Step 2: Choose your mode at the bottom: Photo, Video, or Walkthrough, and capture as many files as you need.

  • Step 3: Tap the blue checkmark when you're done.

Your captures upload straight to Media with no post if added via the Camera option, or along with a Feedback Post if added via the + button option.

πŸ’‘ Want to add a caption or notify the team?
Create a post instead, and your media still shows up in the Media section automatically.
