The Calendar Overlay feature (also known as the Calendar Schedule view) is designed to give high-level managers and superintendents better visibility across the entire company portfolio.
Unlike individual project schedules, this view operates independently, allowing you to see the "Big Picture." It places multiple project timelines onto a single grid, making it easier to visualize where trade partners may be over-extended or where project dates might conflict.
How to Access the Global Schedule
You can access the Calendar Overlay from anywhere within the platform, without navigating away from your current page.
Navigate to the Top Navigation Bar.
Locate and click the Calendar Icon (displayed near your profile avatar).
This will open the Global Schedule interface.

Using the Project Sidebar
Once the Global Schedule is open, you will see a Project Sidebar on the right-hand side of the screen. This is your control center for filtering which projects are visible on the master calendar.
Toggle Visibility: Click the checkbox next to any project name (e.g., Jacobs Residence, Perrier Residence) to show or hide that specific schedule.
Color Coding: Each project in the sidebar is assigned a unique color indicator. These colors correspond to the task blocks on the calendar, allowing you to quickly associate a specific task with its parent project.
Search/Filter: If you have a large portfolio, use the sidebar to quickly locate specific jobs without cluttering your view.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does changing a date here affect the main project schedule?
Yes. Because this is a live view of your data, moving a task block in the Calendar Overlay will update the schedule within the specific project's distinct page.
Can I view completed projects?
By default, the sidebar populates with Active projects to keep the view relevant to current resource needs.
