Connecting Conversation to Choice
Making selection decisions can be messy when the conversation happens in emails but the choices happen in BuilderPad. We've fixed that.
We’ve added the Activity Feed Sidebar directly to your Selections workspace. This feature allows your team (and clients, depending on permissions) to discuss specific selection items, track their approval status, and keep all critical communications centralized. It's the fastest way to turn an "undecided" item into an "approved" item.
How to Use the Selections Activity Feed
The Activity Feed lives on the right-hand side of your Selections workspace.
1. Access the Conversation
Navigate to the Selections tab within your project.
The Activity Feed sidebar is open by default, showing recent activity related to all selections.

2. Start a Contextual Discussion
To ensure your comment is directly tied to the correct item (e.g., Jeld Wen Arch glass):
Click on the specific selection item in your list to view its details (the item card will expand).
Use the "Write your message..." box at the bottom of the Activity Feed.

3. Tagging and Notifications
To get a faster response or ensure the right person sees the query, use @mentions (e.g., @Mark, do we have the specs for these windows?).
The user you tag will receive a notification, bringing them directly into the Selections workspace to address the item.
4. Tracking Approval History
The feed provides a running log of all actions, including when an item was approved or when a new comment was posted.
This creates a tamper-proof audit trail for every single selection decision made in the project.
And that’s it! Now you’re able to:
Eliminate Email Clutter: Keep selection conversations where the work is happening.
Tag Users: Use @mentions to instantly assign ownership over questions or require input.
Approve Faster: Quickly resolve outstanding questions and move the item status from Undecided to Approved without delay.
