The Draft Post feature gives you the flexibility to start writing a project update and save it as a draft to finish later.

This feature is perfect for when you're on the go or need more time to gather information before publishing your post. Your drafts are automatically synced between the BuilderPad browser and mobile apps, so you can start on one device and finish on another without losing your work.

1. Creating a Draft

  • Navigate to your Project and access the Activity Feed tab.

  • Begin writing your new post in the update box at the bottom of the feed.
You can add text, tags, attachments, and images, and any details you currently have available.

  • Post Drafts will automatically save as you type along, if you choose to move to a different section, you will now have a Drafts button available in your header bar of the platform. If you get distracted or need to leave the page for any reason, feel free to do so.

2. Finding and Editing Your Draft

  • When you return to your Project's Main Menu, you will see a button at the top of the page indicating you have drafts (e.g., "1 draft").

  • Click on the draft button to open it for editing.

  • Then, choose the option to “Complete Post” to continue editing your previous draft. You can also delete previous draft messages in this section.

  • Once you have finished your changes, you can click the Publish button to share the post with your selected audience (e.g., clients, employees).

1. Creating a Draft

  • From within a project, tap the large plus (+) button at the bottom of your screen.

  • Select Post an update from the menu.

  • Start typing your update. If you need to stop and save it for later, simply tap the "X" icon in the corner.

  • A prompt will appear. Choose Save as draft.
You can also discard the changes or cancel to continue writing.

2. Finding and Editing Your Draft

  • To find your saved draft, navigate back to the main Projects Menu section.
The option to edit your draft(s) will be visible at the top of the screen.

  • Tap on the You have X draft(s) option to Edit your Drafted Post.

  • Select the Draft you wish to edit and tap on the Complete Post icon:

  • You can now continue editing the post. When you are ready, Swipe to Post to publish it for your team and clients to see at the perfect time.
