How to Clear Your BuilderPad Mobile App Cache

Clear your cache to quickly resolve loading issues, improve performance, or see the latest feature updates.

If you’re experiencing syncing issues, slow performance, or if new features aren't appearing as expected, clearing your app cache is often the quickest fix.

This process removes temporary files without deleting your personal data or account settings.

The most efficient way to do this is directly within the BuilderPad app.


Option 1: Using the BuilderPad In-App Button (Recommended)

BuilderPad includes a built-in feature to clear its own cache directly from your settings.

  1. Open the BuilderPad app.

  2. Tap on the Profile Icon of the account owner to open your Account Settings.

  3. Tap the Clear Cache button located just above the current version number of the app.

Once done, restart the app to ensure the changes take effect.
Please note you will need to log in again.


Option 2: System-Level Fallbacks

If you cannot access the app settings, you can use these device-specific methods:

For Android Users

  1. Open your device Settings > Apps > BuilderPad.

  2. Tap Storage & Cache and select Clear Cache.

    Note: Avoid "Clear Data" unless you want to be logged out and reset all local settings.

For iOS (iPhone & iPad) Users

iOS does not have a system "Clear Cache" button, so we recommend the following:

  1. Offload the App: Go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage > BuilderPad and tap Offload App.

  2. Reinstall: Tap Reinstall App to refresh the app files while keeping your data safe.


When to Clear Your Cache

  • New Feature Releases: If you don't see recently released features like Schedule Item Collaboration or Drag and Drop files.

  • Performance Lag: If navigating between project Schedules and Selections feels sluggish.

  • Loading Issues: If images or document previews are not displaying correctly.
