The Enhanced GPS feature allows you to stamp your on-site photos with unparalleled precision. By leveraging advanced dual-frequency GPS technology and more frequent location checks, every photo you take can be tagged with its exact coordinates. This powerful tool is invaluable for documenting progress, verifying material deliveries, and streamlining project inspections by providing indisputable proof of where and when work was performed.
How to Use the Enhanced GPS Feature
Enabling this option is simple.
Just follow these steps in your BuilderPad mobile app.
Step 1: Enable Enhanced GPS in Your Preferences
In the BuilderPad mobile app, tap on your Profile icon.
Open the Preferences tab.
Find the Enhanced GPS option and toggle the switch to the "On" position.

Step 2: Use the Camera Mode in a Project
Once enabled, the feature is ready to use anytime you take photos within a project.
Navigate to the project you are working on.
Tap the + icon and select Take Photos to open the camera mode.
Ensure the Location Stamp option is enabled in the camera's settings widget.

Step 3: Snap & Stamp Your Photos
With the camera open and location stamp on, simply take your picture.
BuilderPad automatically fetches your precise location at that moment and embeds the coordinates into the photo's on-screen stamp.

Step 4: Review Location Details
After a photo has been posted to the project's Activity Feed, you can view its precise location data.
Open the photo from the Activity Feed.
Tap on the photo to view its details.
The exact latitude and longitude coordinates where the photo was taken will be displayed.

Important Notes
Accuracy: This feature uses dual-frequency GPS, which reduces positioning errors to within inches of your actual location, a significant improvement over standard GPS.
Real-Time Position: Your location is refreshed more frequently while the camera is active, ensuring the photo's location stamp is as accurate as possible.
Battery Usage: Enhanced GPS requires more power than standard location services. If you need to conserve your device's battery, you can disable this feature at any time in your Preferences tab.
