New Feature

Lag Type Settings: More Control Over Schedule Dependencies

Elevate your project scheduling accuracy with our new “Lag Type” feature, now available under Default Settings. This feature allows you to tailor how dependencies and successors adjust when you modify tasks in your schedule. By default, the “Maintain” lag type is selected for all projects, preserving the existing time gaps between tasks when moved.

However, users can customize the Lag Type on a per-project basis—choosing between “Maintain” for fixed interval preservation and “Minimum” for dynamic adjustment based on task changes. This flexibility ensures your project adapts to the workflow that best suits your operational needs.

Here’s a breakdown of how each Lag Type functions:

Maintain: Ideal for grouped task adjustments, this setting keeps existing intervals between dependent tasks constant, simplifying the management of linked tasks.

Minimum: Useful for tightly scheduled projects, this setting adjusts subsequent tasks to adhere to the shortest possible lag, ensuring that no time is lost between task completions.

This feature not only enhances your control over project timelines but also introduces potential for future enhancements, like specialized behaviors for specific task groups.
